hi folks,
this rarely imaged planetary nebula is located in taurus named "the crystal ball nebula" and it is not really bright. I imaged it with 2 different CCDs: luminance: 9" tmb apo f/18 using a 2" 2* powermate 2 hours exp time -- 10 min subframes color: f/9 prime focus; 10 min subframes. seeing and transparency were both very good! the preview: ![]() Here is the link to the full scale version: http://www.stargazer-observatory.com/ngc1514.html __________________ Last edited by stargazer_7000; 04-February-2008 at 05:23 PM. |

Hi Diets, Another outstanding shot!. I need to check this one out. On your equipment you used a 2x barlows increditable! wow. i noticed you dont use a reducer to cut down your f stops and what were the cameras you used? Simply a beautiful shot and the outer shell is observable also and the colors are pastel like. Clear Skies my friend
