Question Recommended settings for Canon DLSR

Hi,

I mean DSLR.

I do quite a bit of astrophotography with Canon DSLR's, first a 300D, then a 400D and now a 40Dh. When I look in the Picture Style menu I see user-definable settings for Sharpness, Contrast, Saturation and Colour Tone.

So I have two questions.

1 - Do these settings affect the RAW images? (if not, no problem)
2 - If they do affect them, what are the best settings for astrophotography? What gives the best images? Particularly for Sharpness and Contrast, since the others I can adjust for later.
