Default An Interesting Reflection Nebula

I decided to add some different colors to my nebula collection by getting a shot of IC2169, a reflection nebula in Monoceros, also containing the dark neb LDN1600. This photo also contains the smaller reflection neb IC2167, and dark neb, LDN1600 nearby.

The photo consists of 4hrs lum and 4hrs RGB taken with through a TV X0.8 FL/RD on a 80ED.

Beautiful. It's been at the top of my to-do list for several month's now but so far near perpetual clouds have allowed me one 10 minute frame and it's not up to snuff. The way things are going I'll have to wait until next year. At my 3560mm focal length I can just barely fit it into my FOV. It needs a wide angle like you were able to do.

All:

I appreciate the comments. This region is photographically interesting. The small reflection nebs ngc2245 & 47 are just outside the frame of my photo, and the Christmas Tree cluster & Cone Nebula are almost next door. A short FL scope and one of the big CCD sensors is idea for this area.

Robert

Hi Robert.
I checked out your site, and I must say that your work is some of the best I have ever seen in all fields of photography. Wow. You have some great photos. I love your nature photos, when I was younger I did alot of 35mm nature work.

Looking at your work I think how much I miss nature photography. It maybe time for me to jump back into our world for awhile. Great stuff thanks for sharing, clear skies to you Paul.
