hi friends,
this is a re-processed version of that PN in taurus I posted a couple weeks ago. this time, it is a collaboration with Andras Dan, a hungarian friend of mine, who has collected some narrow-band data with his 10" SC f6.3; SXV H9 and Astronomik O3 filter. 6x15 minutes. gemini 42 EQ mount - direct drive system. Andras is the head of Gemini: www.astronomy.hu Andras let me kindly process this data to use it in addition to the image I had already processed. I used: 9" TMB Apo f/18 with a barlow lens and SXV H36 9" TMB Apo f/9 and M25C f/9 for color. the O3 signal was too weak to use it a decent green channel,...nbut strong enough for another additional luminance channel . so here is the result of the cooperation of Andras and me: PLEASE make sure to scroll down and navigate to the links that lead to the newer versions: http://www.stargazer-observatory.com/ngc1514.html thanks for taking another look! best regards, Dietmar + Andras |

Wow! This image keeps getting better and better. The detail in the nebula is remarkable.
