Finally found my lost memmory stick with the session on the Starburst Galaxy. Over 9hrs of imaging combating light pollution cleaning up some the gradients produce by it and here it is. Clear Skies to All.

Nice. This reminds me that I was going to add H alpha to my image from last year but so far the weather has conspired against me. In another couple weeks it will be too far west and in my Polaris tree for the rest of the year.
Your shot gives a 3D look. It somehow reminds me of an alien space ship. The dark lanes that shoot out radially toward the "front" (upper left) look like windshields (maybe the wrong term for spaceships). The core then looks like a "Federation photon torpedo" made a direct hit mid ship. This cloudy weather is getting to me it appears. Rick |
