Default Saturn and Moon

hi folks,

this is a first light image taken last night with my new planetary equipment:
DMK 21AF04 and Atif filterwheel with Astronomik filters.

seeing was not exactly at its best but it was fun to image solar sytem objects after all.

please find the images here:

and moon:

thanks for looking,

Dietmar

I'd say you have that new gear working at top form right from the start! That is far better seeing than I've ever had here. Even when I could see the rille back in my film days in Nebraska, I couldn't image it. Exposures were too long. Up here seeing hasn't ever even let me see it. It's wonderful when skill and good seeing come together! Looking forward to more.

Very nice images with great clarity. The detail on the Moon is really excellent.

Excellent work!

The Alpine Valley shot looks like it was taken from the CSM.

And any more resolution with the Saturn picture and one might see the Cassini probe.

The Saturn photo looks like one of those "ooh, ooh, agh agh" comments uttered by Tim the Tooltime Toolman.

I was in 7th grade, during an amateur astronomy meeting, with a homebuilt telescope, that I saw a similar image, although in nowhere near this detail.

Still, I saw the rings and Saturn's bands.

Awesome!
