Default Lunar mosaic 16-4

Between the moon and controled burning of farm and bushland around here there hasn't been much to see but we had a clear windy night on the 16th so I went for the easiest target.

This is a mosaic of 3 stacks of 150 to 400 shots each. All done in registax and my first attempt at wavelet filtering. For that matter, its my first ever stacked image of the moon. The mosaic was merged in PS2. I should have slipped the barlow in but I was too lazy. Next time... I would love some feedback on the filtering.

Kind regards
Matt

ps. Some problem in the jpeg, use the elarge tool to get the correct image. Sorry!

Seems to have every other line missing. Needs line doubling to fill those in. Looks like there's a good image in there but my eyes just balk at the missing lines.

Ach hiss thats no good. The correct image comes up when I use the enlarge tool. Not sure what to do about the original JPEG. I will edit a note to the original post. Thanks.

Kind regards
Matt

What's the enlarge tool? When I view it full size every other line is of a much lower intensity. It isn't missing just much dimmer.

First, it's a very nice mosaic. Great sharpness on the lunar features.

And even with the enlarge tool (it appears when you mouse over the image in Firefox, not sure in IE) it looks like some sort of a screen was used in producing the JPEG. Did you use "Save for Web" in Photoshop?

No I saved as a straight jpeg as I usually do. I have also Mike, (iceman), also noted somefine crosshatching which is in the original FITS images. I will repost the web jpeg as you suggest but something strange is happening.
Rick, My cursor comes up as a full image tool when I move it across the image. I will try and sort out the thumbnail. Thanks everyone

Kind regards
Matt
