Default New Image: vdB149 and 150

Hi all,

Here is my most recent project. It is of a rarely imaged part of Cepheus that has two reflection nebulae cataloged as vdB149 and 150. Between them is a very faint "dusty" nebula. This image was an experiment using two different telescopes imaging the same object at the same time -- different cameras and filters however.

I didn't process out the star halos; I hope this doesn't offend the aesthetics of the image.

Comments and criticisms welcome.

Regards,
Tom Davis

Interesting picture in my opinion. I see why you're possibly concerned about the halos, but I think they do enhance the star colors significantly. In any case, the dark nebula is the star of the show.

That's ok. The Digitized Sky Survey images have similar ghosts around the brighter stars.

Very nice image, by the way.

Agreed. The dark neb is the stand out stunner. The halos are fine. A great piece of work.

Great shot. The dark nebula really stand out and the star colors are great.
