Default NGC7129 and dusty region

This area is about the most difficult dusty region that I have tried
to image. The dust in this region of Cepheus is very faint, and
bringing it out is a great challenge. There also seems to be a red
shift in the stars here, possible due to the dust effect.

Comments and criticisms welcome.

Tom,

The detail in the dark regions is great. There is great texture in those dust clouds.

Beautiful as always. I've found a similar reddening of stars in dusty areas of the sky I've imaged. With my beginner skills at color processing I was putting it down to my color balance. But as I've learned more they are still coming out reddened so glad to see it isn't necessarily my processing that's doing it.

I found I took a short 40 minute shot of this guy and am processing it. I didn't know of all the dirt in the area so didn't begin to gather enough photons. The reflection nebula and some HH regions come though. I'll post it when finished. Now I see I need to go back and get hours more data if the sky will ever cooperate that is. Nothing but clouds for 48 days and counting. I only have 2 hours of imaging time at this latitude for the next few weeks so am limited even if it does clear which isn't in the forecast.

Hi Tom,
Great work. You are becoming the DaVinci of Dust! Seriously, you have really developed some unique skills in capturing and processing these very difficult regions. Thanks for sharing! Hope you are well!

Best regards,
Kent
