Seeing and transparency weren't up to any of the Arps on my list so this is just a galaxy that was in a rather dark part of the sky. It is in Serpens Caput about 70 million light years away. A barred galaxy with a very narrow bar and a halo of blue spiral arms some seeming unrelated to the bar. They are very faint and not a good target for a night of lousy transparency. Not sure why I didn't try something else on the list. It's just nice to have something to image after two months of solid clouds, storms or full moon. I'm now up to a bit over 2.5 hours of darkness between end and onset of astronomical twilight. Things are looking up!
