Default An Iris rising from the Dust, NGC7023

Hello all,

I just finished gathering data for NGC7023 through the smokefilled
skies of california. Thank goodness there were a few clear nights in
the recent weeks. Our fires out here are still a real problem but
are not threatening us directly in the Sacramento area.

I had attemped this object a few years ago with a Mewlon 300. I was
very surprised at the amount of detail in the molecular cloud that
came through with the CDK12.5, that I had never seen in the Mewlon.

Here is the info on the data:
Location: Starlodge Observatory
Date: June, 08
Scope: CDK 12.5
Camera: SBIG STL 11000
LRGB: 310:120:120:120

Thanks for taking a look. Any observations or suggestions would be
welcome.

Best regards,
Kent

That's beautiful. The dark clouds in the nebula have great texture -- I feel as if I could touch them.

A very Beautiful image it is, the colors and the stars are tops and the dark cloud structures gives it a 3d feel to it. Welldone and Clear Skies
