Default Planetary Alignment-8-7-08

Hi,

Here are last nights planet alignment shots, the 'normal' wide field taken with the tripod mounted Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 85mm f/1.4, 2000 ISO 2.5sec.

The close-up of the two planets taken with the D300 attached to a Takahashi E180ED f2.8 astrograph. with a crop to show each planet & surrounding satellites/stars. Again, short exposures at 2000 ISO. One shot (camera) shows a meteor joining the group!

Regards
Shevill

Default Planetary Alignment -10-7-08

Hi,

And here are some shots which I managed before the clouds rolled in again. The two planets are only 0.7 degree apart.

Tripod mounted Nikon D300 with Nikkor 85mm f1.4 2.5 seconds at 2000 ISO wide shots and a Nikkor 80-200 f2.8 at 200mm

Regards
Shevill
