I decided to image this event in case the weather didn't permit it. On this conjunction in progress reaching max in a couple of days of Venus at the right is much brighter then Jupiter being the largest planet due to it being closer to the sun. Top is left (Jupiter)with its moons left from the planet and Bottom is right (Venus) Horizone. it was still daylight the sun setting still here.
A total of approaximately 20 min. of video at 15sec. intervals, was taken Piggy backed on the main scope. To All who celebrates it, Happy Thanksgiving!!!. Clear Skies to ALL. Last edited by JAICOA; 27-November-2008 at 07:12 AM.. |

Hi,
A nice shot of the two giants, it is just a pity that our digital photography is not yet as good as the eye. The images just cannot do it justice. Hope you get clear skies for the 'BIG' one. Regards Shevill
