Narrowband images are always very impressive and this is no exception!
I'm going to guess that like M42 and M43, it looked like 2 separate nebulae in the telescope when it was observed. Another guess would be that one is a star cluster in the nebula like the Rosette Nebula which has like 4 designations. Last edited by Caglow; 27-June-2009 at 08:47 PM.. Reason: added comment |
