Talking T ime Lapse Video of Stars made with Canon 1000d

here is my first attemt at making a t lapse video.

yes i still have the original 700mb avi file and its great.there are 600 to 700 stars,multiple satellite flares and a couple of shooting stars.i will share with some induvidual shots to give you an idea how the original video looks in full mode.you have any idea how i can upload such a file without loosing ts quality?

no mate i havent tried yet.i am new in this field and if u ask me the truth i really dont know what prime focus means.i think its joining my dslr to the a refractor telescope by removing its eyepiece??





in the following pic u can see a meteor from the center of the pic towards the air conditioner

the following is another pic took with cam.i can see a trail in the middle of the picture could this possibly be the milkyway trail cause i took this pic from the center of a city with all the street lights and neighbours's house lights streaming in

question for you neelam, what software you using to do avi from your 1000d.
i found eos camera movie record words wonders,,,

i took around 400 induvidual shots of iso800 at 20 seconds exposure one after another and then joined them together using a software toavi that converts jpegs to avi.u can also join the images using windows movie maker but you wont get a movie of size 700mb.the maximum u will get is around 170 mb.
i have heard that the windows vista allows u to make a high definition 720p video by joining jpegs but hvae not confirmed it since i dont have vista

hey i found this program that alows you make movies and they are unlimited.
try it out its wicked..

i was sure you d like it, it as a nice res too, yeah i know for stars its useless, but for any other vids its very fine..
a friend of mine just got a canon 15 megs the higher model and he was telling me about how he was able to make movies . am so telling him so can i,,,lol

^yes u r right.software is great will come handy when i create a time lapse video.
any idea about the quality it offers like the resolution and frame rate

so far i did a few vids and the quality is very good and the res is 768x 512.

the vids i did in the day are very clear, but at night you need lots of lighting to get a good picture.

i would give it a 8/10

Nice choice on the music.

I think this is a darkened room viewing experience though. It was hard to see the stars above the dust on my screen in a sunlit room.
