Default M33 over 2 years

I've been away for serious imaging for a while as I focused on building a new observatory. It's finally up and operational and I'm having a great time with it. Still working out the bugs with cables, etc., but I'm cozy in the warm room as the temperature falls into the low 50s.

My first bit of imaging was to get additional data on M33, well located in the eastern sky in September. I now have 240 minutes of LRGB data (90:50:50:50 with RGB binned 2x2) taken with and ST-10 and an NP-101. The data was taken on September 20 and 26, 2008 and September 19, 2009.

Data capture and calibration with Maxim DL, align and combine with CCDStack, image processing in PixInsight with final touch-up in Photoshop. full sized image available on my web site.

I've got 90 minutes of Ha to add to this, just need to find the time to process it.

Done just in time for AIC!

Thanks,

--Andy

Nice image. I like how the nebulae in the galaxy's spiral arms show up so well.

Nice first light.

Congratulations on getting it up and running. I ran portable for 50 years before getting my observatory in. Sure is nice. Glad the weather is cooperating for you. Two month's of clouds is driving me nuts. I tried two sucker holes last night but to no avail.

Mahesh, Kyle, and Rick -- Thank you very much!

Rick, I've been luck the last two months. Last weekend's new Moon was very productive. Tonight doesn't look so good, though. I've got a lot of high clouds. I hope they dissipate...

That's a nice one of M33, Andy. You can even see HII regions in the galaxy. Well done!

Eric

Paul, Eric, Efrain, Thank you for the kind comments!

After seeing all the presentations at the AIC, I feel I need another go at the processing even without adding the Ha data....
