Default Up-Close Moon Craters

On this session the craters Purbach, Arzachel and Ptolemaeus. On crater ptolemaeus old lava flows entered the basin floor and filling in older crater impacts leaving faint dimples and on this day the sun angle helped to see these fine features.

Wow, those are very sharp and high resolution. I have read that the Ptolemaeus crater is only 93 miles wide, so I wonder how small some of those craterlets are.

Thanks Kyle, You are correct, there are over 120 craterlets inside so i figured they are 1/4 to 1/2 miles in diam. or less. Good food for thought Clear Skies.
