Hi,
After a long bleak winter, the clouds parted long enough to grab a few images of that bright ball in the sky - with sunspots no less. Here are some images from the 27th & 29th in white light & H-alpha, of two spot groups. Note, there is a smaller spot to the left of the main group-I have not seen any other images of this-has anyone else posted images of this smaller region of activity? White light images Takahashi FS-102 with Baader Herschel Solar Wedge: [http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...at=directlink] also shots of scope setup etc. and a Lunt HA60 1200 used in single mode:[ http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...at=directlink] Single video frames via an Imaging Source USB capture device from a Watec Hi Res colour 1/2" video camera : [http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...at=directlink] Seeing conditions were average-not good by any means due to constant low & high pressure systems crossing the State. Clear skies... Shevill

It's interesting to compare the white light images to the H-alpha images. Thanks for posting.
