You're quite welcome. Are the images still available? I'm only seeing broken (Red X) place-holders.

Man, the BA really milked the egg puns in his March '05 Night Sky article on egg balancing. "...legend, poached from another country." So baaad.

I hope he's laid this urban legend to rest.

(I dredged up this thread, because Lance's sadistic twist was so inspiring and still funny.)

Well, tomorrow is the day again. Will anyone be frightening any eggs?

No, I really don't like frightening them - I just embarrass my eggs by dressing them up. I'll have to wait for July...seems like a good balancing month for me.

(Watch out for cats...they think standing eggs look like some curiously devilish toy made for them.)

Hi Melusine. I thought I might find you here.

I may balance a couple just to prove, once and for all, that they really can be balanced on the vernal equinox.

Are you saying I'm some kind of egghead?

I found out there's another way to get them to stand up: peer pressure!

So what, the others just "egg them on". I suppose they do that by yelling "Chicken".
Sorry, it was just a yolk, come on you people, you have to get out of your shells. Now get cracking!

I've been trying to balance my checkbook on the counter. Let's see, first I wait for it to settle... Do you think putting a hat on it would help?
