That's pretty funny Lance, maybe I should try that, because I have lost patience with trying to get eggs to stand up straight.

Pffft. That's nothing. Look at this egg. Now that must have been hard to balance.

I don't think that counts. It has to be "on end".

And it was still a trick to get it to stand up. The texture in the bottom of the frying pan helped much less than I thought it would.

I'm impressed that you got it that close to the centre of the pan.

I see. Well done.

I also see the bowl of eggs off to the left. How many did you have to go through?

It just took the one. We suffered no casualties. All the other eggs in the bowl trembled in fear as they saw their comrade brought so close to the brink so many times, only to be allowed to recover slightly and go through it all again.

Seriously though; About a half hour before doing it, I turned a half-dozed or so "fat side down" in the bowl to give the yolks a chance to settle. Egg-balanceing attemps often fail because the balancer doesn't have the patience to wait for the yolk to settle to the bottom before trying to get the egg to stay. Turning a few up like that gave me a good head start.

My egg was stolen by odd looking cast iron fellow. :P

Seriously, I don't know why I have a hard time with this egg business. I've tried it several times, and just cant get them to stand.
