Default next book: un-official title contest...

Bad Astronomy II

The Further Adventures of The Bad Astronomer

or

How I had to shut down the BABB to have enough time to write this book.

(with five pages of dedications, of course (right, Humphrey?))

An overlooked but obvious follow up to
"Bad Astronomy":

"Dangerous Astronomy"

That sounds like the title for a bad summer action movie:

Good ones, centsworth_II and Lycus!

There was a movie called Dangerous Moonlight, but the title was about the only thing that had to do with astronomy.

Hmmm, perhaps that title could be used for a new chapter on Hoagland, et al? 8)

centsworth/kucharek:

Read the FAQs and revise as appropriate. Remember, the use of "***"s to replace sections of unacceptable words is also frowned upon.

I like your thinking, but, more simply..."The Worst Astronomy". You have to be "Badder than Bad".

You may want to try combining good and bad, using the "bad" as "bad examples". Then it might be "Good and Bad Astronomy" plus throw in the audio CD for a few books more and do what Bryson did.

What about charging a few bucks for an audio download version of the orignal? I still have not heard your voice BA. Most everyone has a burner now and there is, likely, some service that could accomodate this idea. You might want to add a bonus section of recorded Bad Astronomy sessions you recently have added to the forum.

I paid about $30 for Bryson's 5 cd's and I am now on my 3rd round. For those who travel, like me, it beats today's music and talk shows.

Rather than ripping of movies, maybe we should think more like astronomers.

Bad Astronomy Refocused

Bad Astronomy Resolved

Bad Astronomy: Long Exposure

High Energy Bad Astronomy

Badder Astronomy

Just because the astronomy is bad, doesn't mean the grammar can't be too.
