Why not change the logo on the website (on the BB too) so that it matches the one on the cover of your new book? It would certainly introduce some continuity for the people who have bought your book and want to check out this website.

What do you think?

Actually, I like my logo better! I wanted Wiley & Sons (the publisher) to use it, but they went with their own idea.

I use the logo above on my business card, and it will be appearing over the whole site soon; I have it redesigned a bit to be nicer.

It'll be appearing elsewhere soon as well. Stay Tuned.

The BA leads the way. When do we get to see NASCAR Bad Astronomy?

*groan* So what's next? His wife writes a book titled
"Bride of the Bad Astronomer"
Phil Plait, the early years, titled
"I was a teenage Bad Astronomer"

Actually the tee shirt sounds cool. I wish I could have been wearing it tonight. I was reading aloud a little blurb from the book that stuck me as particularly neat. I thought my husband would think the same. He said "Lisa, you're really turning into a geek, you know?" The tee shirt would have set the scene nicely.

Which logo? The main page or the BB pages? The one on the main page is much better than the one on the BB pages (they're not really logos either - more like text art )

I disagree. I like the one on the BB pages better. It's more colorful and more "dynamic" in some way. It gives me more of a spacey feeling.

But either one will be cool on a T!

I always thought the BB "logo" looked much more amateurish than the main page - though I do like the "dynamics". The graphic design of the main "logo" is cleaner and more balanced and evokes the "feeling" of science and technology more than the BB one. I think it is mainly a font issue.

Oh well.

Oh, just hang tight. The images are already made, and I am waiting to see how they look on merchandise before I go live with the site. It's similar to the BB logo, but done much more cleanly and will look great.

Hey, that's not a bad idea. After all, supporting NASCAR is the most effective form of advertising in the South. (Can ya tell I'm originally from Daytona?)

But seriously BA and other folks, put me down for T-shirt, coffee mug, and bobble-head.

My dad collects NASCAR memorabilia (sp?) and I wouldn't hesitate to buy him a 1/24th scale car with the Bad Astronomy logo on it. The rear deck could have a picture of the BA in his Hubble costume.
