Entering fantasy land...

Well, if you can't convince them, you could always take along one of "us". Hey...I've got an idea...

...you could hold a contest, the winner would go with you to Australia...(all expenses paid, of course)

The only aspect of this that I haven't figured out yet is how to guarantee that I'll be the winner...

Now leaving fantasy land...

Did you see the sheep at Parkes?? They were in the paddock the last time I was there. Sometimes movies get it right

Nah, it's farmed croc meat in the sausages. Besides, tourists who ignore the "Danger. No swimming. Estuarine Crocodiles" signs are made of the same stuff all life is made of.

Emu is nice. But I had some "bush tea" when I was at the Grampians last. Got oh, about half a the cup down, but couldn't drink anymore. And usually I like experimenting.

Got a small lot of marmite but had to throw it out because it tasted awful. Nothing like Vegemite on toast. But Marmite? No thank you. What I don't get is why Americans don't like vegemite.

On the other hand, these things are like Aussie crack. I am seriously going to contact the manufacturer and see why they aren't being sold here.
I love the wrappers- "it's moment's like theese you need minties" I think I'll send in a drawing something astronomy related ... hmmm I'm fresh outta ideas... *shrugs*

Here's a gallery of Minties Art.

They are very symbolic. (Note the image depicting a visiting American astronomer bearing gifts (as Santa) approaching a large radio telescope.) ;-)

Hey BA,

I am back from my son's wedding in Oz and I did manage to bring a packet of Minties back with me for you. All I need is an address to send them to. Or are you likely to be on the east coast anythime soon?

Cheers,
