Default I need help please!!!!

Hey guys,
I am doing a school project that requires me to find a news article (likely from a newspaper) that has been debunked. The source has to be credible, so it can't be a blog or anything of that sort. I have to find the claim and then find evidence to prove it wrong. I am having trouble finding a good article to refute. It sounds like it would be an easy task, but I'm having trouble. My astronomy background is limited. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

um... try news.google.com actually you could also try www.randi.org. Look at the commentary archive for the past few weeks. James Randi commonly points out news errors on scientific type stuff.

Search a controversial topic on National Geographic.com and you'll get the debunking article, plus any earlier ones about the wrong idea. The Microraptor and James Ossuary are topics you may wish to consider.
