So some of you may remember I made a video a while back about how I thought Phil was such a good skeptic and science promoter I wanted to give him a BIG HUG...
Well yes, I have hugged Phil. I said "Can I give you a big hug" and he said "um.. well maybe not that big of one.. I mean... no tongue" Okay... so there was no tongue or anything... but ya know. Just felt like sharing... |

I'd be happy if he just read my comics.

I'd consider a handshake highly preferable. Actually, I'd be curious about the cultural development of hugging. When I grew up (mostly in the midwest) there just didn't seem to be a lot of hugging outside of family or other close relationships. But, it seems a lot more popular today in California.

Not just these days Van. I have a lot of male friends I hug upon greeting. Just not out in the market, lets say. Comes from having good friends for a long time.

That's a close relationship. But, it seems today like people will hug almost as often as they would shake hands.

Personally, I don't shake hands very much.
