I've heard about the Moon Hoax but don't have the webtime to read all about it here.
What I'd like to know is "cui bono?" or - why would anyone want to believe we did NOT land on the Moon?
Which are the main reasons for people to call it a hoax?
If it's because of Russian envy and disbelief during the Cold War and the Space Race, why is it still lingering?
Who are the folks that still believe this - a lobby that thinks the Moon is a hole punched in a celestial sphere revealing a light behind that hole?

I highly recommend reading this section of the site, which should address a couple your questions, and won't take long to read.

***Edited to add: Clavius also offers a wonderful presentation of motivations for delving into matters conspiratorial.

My Website is not too terribly long and I believe it answers your questions. You might try giving it a read, or at least skim through it.
