Default Buzz Aldrin Interview - Facial tic

I can't prove we didn't put men on the moon, but look at this interview clip of Buzz Aldrin. http://www.moonhoax.com/Video/Buzz%20Aldrin.mpg

The lower left side of his mouth twitches when describing his whereabouts on July 20, 1969. Yes, I know he has Bipolar Disorder and is probably on medication which might cause side effects like a tic, but tics are usually triggered by sudden increases in stress, like from having to conceal the truth.

:^o

I see the wink smiley, and it leads me to think you are joking, but I am not sure so I will ask. Are you seriously questioning Aldrin's motives based on a facial tic?

I would imagine such stress, if it exists, would be caused by yet another woowoo asking if he'd been to the moon. Purely understandable. I haven't watched the clip though.

I'm just saying that tics are signs of stress, similar to what a lie detector measures. It could be an involuntary indication of a prevarication.

You'd think he could just laugh off the skeptics instead of punching them.

Ok now I watched it. Looks like he didn't know where the interview was going until that question and being on camera he was holding back what he'd really like to have said. Again, understandable.

I agree, it could be something else, it could be alot of things. So what?

Oh no, Buzz's mouth twitched. We never landed on the moon!

How many times do you laugh it off before ti becomes annoying? And how many more times does it take to go from annoying to aggravating? And about punching Sibrel, first Bart Sibrel instigated that. Punching may not have been the most appropraite response, but so what. Keep pushing a person and they may decide they have had enough. Second, Aldrin punched Sibrel. That does not mean we didn't go to the moon. In fact, it has nothing to do with it. Third, I would punch Sibrel if I could, does that mean we didn't go to the moon?

Since you added that clip in, did you listen to it? Sebril was chasing after him and called him a liar and a coward. I'd have smacked him too.
This was Buzz's high point of his entire life I'd imagine. And to have some petty parisite running around making a name for himself by telling everyone it never happened, yeah I'd laugh and laugh if I was Buzz.

PS Notice that no one around seemed surprised that Sibril got punched. Try to see it from their point of view and don't forget everything Sibril shows is edited for effect. I'm done.

Is it really necessary to burden CSICOP with the extra bandwidth?

Is it really compliant with this board's FAQ to post that animation? Not that I don't enjoy watching it...

Let's see. Hundreds of thousands of engineers and technicians, thousands of photographs, laser reflectors precisely placed on the moon, 400 kg (more or less) of rocks returned from the moon and whose authenticity has been verified by geologists all over the world, technicians manning tracking stations around the world and tracking astronauts' transmissions going to and from the moon, thousands of civilians listening in on the transmissions and even watching the spacecraft as they head away from earth, agreement by our spacefaring Cold War rivals that the missions happened essentially as claimed -- all this, and we're supposed to believe that the authenticity of the Apollo landings is impeached by a facial tic?

And since those so called "lie detectors" are pretty much unscientific woowoo equipment that observation doesn't have much merit to it, right?

Including Sibrel, who seemed more interested in whether or not the videotape caught the incident than in anything else.

First, Houston, do not link to images from other, private sites. That is bandwidth stealing. Read the FAQ. I removed the image.

Second, coming in here and making a claim like that is tantamount to kicking a hornet's nest. Clearly, you have not read any of the lengthy discussions we have had here about how Sibrel was physically assaulting Aldrin, which is precisely why Aldrin hit him. I suggest using the search function on this board.

Third, as has been pointed out, lie detectors are useless.

Fourth, tic or no, the evidence that Aldrin walked on the Moon is overwhelming. Again, I suggest reading this board a little first before stirring this up.

Of course, it is an important requirement of critical thinking to examine all of the alternative hypotheses. So, let's try this one on for size:

Imagine having a career which includes earning a PhD from MIT in Astronautics and a distinguished Air Force service record including 55 combat missions in the Korean War with two MIGs shot down. Imagine being one of the select few capable of surviving the mental & physical rigours to join the astronaut corps. Imagine establishing a then record EVA of over 5 hours on Gemini XII. Then imagine training your behind off for the honour of genuinely risking your life in order to establish one of the defining moments in human history. Imagine having done all that with grace and humility.

Now, imagine having everything that you had worked so hard for questioned by some low-life ****ant who, incapable of accomplishing anything of merit of his own accord, tries to get ahead in life by besmirching you and the accomplishment of the half-a-million other souls who achieved something remarkable. Now, would that be enough to cause a grimace.....?

Buzz was down this neck of the woods the other day and taking questions. I wish I'd been able to go I'd have loved to ask the following;

Mr Aldrin, there are many that say the whole thing was a made up hoax, and after crefully studying the film I must ask you, did you really deck Bart Sibril, and if so, should you have the chance to do it again, would you kick him a few times for good measure? And if not, would you mind if I did?

Man, I'd love to hear his answer to that. Although for legal reasons he'd probably just say "No comment."

True, but you'd probably get one heck of a facial tic, giving way to a huge grin.
