The Bad One, Phil, is once again in a newspaper ! (I wonder how Phil ever gets time to sleep ! ....)

This time Our Caped Crusader is in "The State Journal-Register" from this Saturday (April 20, 2002).

A quote from the article:

"That is certainly true of the bizarre claim that NASA faked the moon landing. The Fox Network aired a special in February 2001 providing conspiracy buffs with a platform to put forth their claims without rebuttal.

Plait says a lot of people saw the show — he received almost 20,000 e-mails on that topic alone.

Schweighauser also received a number of calls locally, to the point that he gave a public lecture to point out all the flaws. "TV is so impoverished, they’ll do anything to make a buck," Schweighauser says.

He certainly won’t find any disagreement from Plait, who says those who promote the hoax claim "took one of the greatest achievements of the 20th century and tossed it aside."

He calls it yet another example of uncritical thinking. "They have been shown exactly why they are wrong, and they continue to believe it," Plait says."

The article with Phil is almost at the bottom of the page.)

I thought the same thing, HUb'. 20,000 emails? Let's see, five minutes to read and answer each email, 8 hour days, 5 day workweek, that's...42 weeks. That's doable.

Control, alpha, delete. A handful of seconds. Very doable.

Of course this leaves me with the same problem as HUb' .

That doesn't mean that your computer or your site sent them out. The e-mail worm just found your address on somebody else's computer and uses it as the faked sender address in the mail it sends out. Therefore you get the misdirected failure reports. Don't worry, I get loads of these, and I'm certainly not sending viruses around.

Same here. Very annoying but not really a matter for concern.
