Hello all.
I hope this is the right place to ask this. I am searching for some primary source material (preferably from nasa) regarding data collected pertaining to radiation levels in a) The Van Allen Belts b) Between the Van Allen Belts and Lunar Orbit c) On the lunar surface. I am looking for specific apollo data. No, I do not want to talk about any silly conspiracies. Thanks. |

Below are some of the citations from a paper titled "Exposures to Solar Particle Events in Deep Space Missions." You'll actually have to do some writing or phone calls to track these down, but they are available. You could try contacting the Space Radiation Shielding Program. They are focusing on long duration exposures for deep space missions, but the papers on their web site refer to lunar, Earth orbiting and high altitude radiation exposures.
