Default Correlations between Earth weather and lunar Earth shots?

Is there any source available online that shows the correlation between the shots of Earth taken from the Moon and the weather at that point in the visible parts of the Earth in those shots? Like old weather reports from radio broadcasts or newspapers?

That would be quite an addition to proving the landings genuine. It would be near impossible for NASA to fake distance Earth shots with correct cloud formations that match the weather patterns of that exact day and time.

What do you think?

This has been suggested as a method for validating telecasts and verbal descriptions. Weather records exist in many parts of the world going back hundreds of years in some cases. So it's not a question of information not being available. To my knowledge no one has actually attempted to correlate photography with weather records.

Are photographs of Earth from the lunar surface detailed enough to really tell where the clouds are? And then, how often do certain weather conditions occur in a given place? How would you know it was this cloudy day and not that one?

Large scale weather systems are hard to piece together from scattered weather stations. There were no NOAA or GOES satellites providing 24 hour a day, global (or hemisphric) high resolution imagery during the Apollo era, AFAIK.

It's an intriguing proposition, but I don't think it would prove conclusive.

Interesting idea, not that it would change the mind of the hoax proponents. A positive proof could be as simple as comparing old weather satellite photos to pictures from Apollo missions. Particularly shots take closer to Earth during the trip to and from the moon. But BS could always claim satellite images were used by NASA to fake mission photos as well. After all he is an “expert” and NASA would have had great access to the satellite images?

Either way, it seems unlikely to add much new information to the argument, given the wealth of the extant evidence that the missions were real.

First let me say welcome to the BABB, WillemV.

I've heard your idea suggested before but I don't know of anyone who has actually attempted it. In fact, the first person I heard propose it was an HB who wanted to use the information to prove Apollo was faked.

A similar vein of investigation that I once considered was to compare the phase and central meridian of the Earth versus the time of each photograph to verify they are as they should be. I think it would be very difficult for someone to fake so many photos and yet maintain the level of accuracy necessary to get it exactly right every time. If all the photos could be verified accurate then it would provide additional evidence to support their authenticity. I started looking at a few photos and the problem I ran into was that the image of the Earth was just too small to be able to make out details clearly enough to do what I needed.

For me, the best form of real-time verification is the news reports. There are plenty of cases where the Capcom advises the crew of scores in various basketball, baseball and football games while the games are in progress. How can that possibly be faked (unless you buy into the theory that the Powers That Be have already determined the Buffalo Bills will never win a Super Bowl!)?

Therefore, the Capcoms were definitely speaking to *someone* in real-time, and the delays are appropriate for speaking to someone on the Moon, who's not disappearing around the Far Side for one hour out of every two.

This proves that TPTB have been in business only since 1918 and have concentrated most of their "powers" on a town in Massachusetts called Boston.

I agree that dedicated hoax believers wouldn't be convinced, but:

Historical daily weather maps from NOAA

Cloud patterns tend to be rather distinct. It would be very difficult to find two of these maps that would match any given satellite image (provided that the image shows the entire map area).
