Default Max Faget apollo designer dead

I just posted over at BAbbling that Max Faget , one of the key designers of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo spaceraft has died

He may not have been that well known to the world at large , but as I'm sure Jay will confirm, Max was one of the all time greats , devloping the Blunt Body concept for heat shield design , and designing the Mercury spaceraft, as well as having a very large hand in desiging the Apollo CM

As Joe Shea , (the first chief of the Apollo project) said of him of him, "Max with your personality , all of your designs will be blunt"

This is turning out to be a sad time for all of us who followed the early days of space exploration
