For several months, since late March, it has been known that "Apollo 13" was to be released as an IMAX movie.

First the release date was "summer 2002", then it was "late summer 2002", then it was "august 2002" - and now the exact date of "August 16, 2002" has emerged !

Finally the exact release date: August 16, 2002. How come I know ? Well, "Virginia Air & Space Center" told me so !

Boy, I hope this thing comes here. Probably won't be for another half a year though. This is one movie I would go out of my way to see on an IMAX screen.

BTW, if any of you haven't bought the DVD to this movie, then go get it ASAP. If you don't have a DVD player, then buy one of those too. But get it. I just watched it with the audio commentaries by the Lovells on and it takes on a whole new dimension. It's a must-see (and hear).

Unfortunately the IMAX version of "Apollo 13" has been delayed.

It has been moved from August 16 to September 20.
