How much does a roll of toilet paper cost? A little rough, but probably a good deal...

I was at my local 2nd hand bookstore and saw that just this weekend... in the "Science" section.

I discretely moved it over to "Fiction."

I found this book at Barnes and Noble in the New Age and Occult section. The same book has been there about 1 1/2 years. I bent a page just to make sure I know it is the same book.

Sad to admit it, but I actually own a copy, and paid more than $2.99. I just can't seem to help myself with these things. (I even have a copy of Worlds in Collision. #-o ) It is an completely wacky book, though, shifting rapidly from Moon hoax to stone circles.

and crop circles and my personal favorite,

Page 552: "The Speed of Light - Between the years of 1928-1945 the speed of light was found to be 3% slower than the (currently) accepted value...During that period many major historical events occurred...the Wall Street Crash, the great depression...the Spanish Civil War...the rise of the Nazis, the second World War, the development of the A Bomb... The activity of a significant portion of the world's population, taken together with the fluctuation of the speed of light, is truly worthy of note - especially when considered from the viewpoint of quantum physics."

jrkeller,

that has to be probably the most ridiculous conclusion I have ever read. Not to mention bust-a-gut funny to boot.
