"The Royal Family are reptiles"...There are websites (beyond David Icke) supporting this idea? I'm actually rendered speechless!

It's nice that there seems to be more support for a Royal Family made of lizards then the moon hoax.

IIRC this was combined with a moon hoax in the infamous Sunday Sport "news" story, headlined "World War 2 bomber found on Moon." I think the claim was that Hitler had escaped to the moon in it.

Which means, that Germany was first on the moon.

I had never heard of the "Hitler is alive" conspiracy. Bizarre. Did they include "Hitler's brain in a jar" kooks in this category?

Some (ok, many) years ago, a teacher used to tell that the washing industry already had developped a soap that would give your clothes a layer that would virtually never attach any dirt again, but that they weren't bringing it onto the market for that reason: you'd never have to clean again. Sounds "a bit" woowoo to me. I have found no websites claiming it however.

Well there is this very funny movie along the same lines. But it was fiction (or was it!? ).

How can the "royal family are lizards" theory rank higher than ufo's??
However I have to say it is the most bizarre yet.

Maybe the Ickeites are more prolific website creators? UFO believers are less web literate? (Of course the lizards can be combined with UFOs and underground bases, and the Moon Hoax, etc. In a lot of ways they are aspects of the same phenomena.)

"Hitler's Nose Cloned--And It's Growing a Moustache!"

boy, when these stories beat The Weekly World News, you know we've got problems.

Here

I'm not sure how it made the top ten conspiracy theories. From just a quick google search of "royal family lizards" I just get a lot of references to David Icke, and some things about komodo dragons and pet supplies.

A GIS of the same phrase brought back this little gem that I remember seeing once before (scroll down to the very bottom). Looks like they're not limited to just the royals

Well, one would think that the most important conspiracy theory today is the 9/11 domestic attacks theory. I'd really advise anyone here looking it up, if you haven't yet heard about it. I'm sorry to talk about it here, it's a bit offtopic in this board but I think every intelligent person should make it's mind about this one.

The fact is that a lot of intelligent and reputable people have many doubts about too many aspects of all that happened on September 11, and the incompetent White House administration has never proved that their conspiracy theory (bin laden, bla bla bla) is the true one. When I come to think of it, many things in the world are conspiracy theories, but some of them are mainstream (have been inculcated in the minds of people)...

Some of the weirdest things for me are:

1- The collapse of all of the wtc buildings. Especially the case of the third building - wtc 7 - which fell despite the fires which consumed it being puny compared to many fires which happened on many other historic skyscrapers, which didn't even threaten to fall. If you see the videos, it seems a clean and perfectly engineered demolition, without any side damage at all... Not to talk about the fact that WTC's director inadvertently revealed that it was indeed demolished, only to be contradicted by other official sources later.

2- The pentagon - compare the explosion which happened there with the explosions seen at the WTC. Even more interesting is the fact that a rookie pilot (as claimed by his flight instructors) supposedly managed to maneuver a plane as only the best military pilots would be able to. Flying a plane a few feet above the ground at a speed much higher than standard landing speed? Sounds too weird to me...

3- The fact that there were supposedly calls made from cellphones in planes when the planes were at 35000 feet. Many experiments have proved that this is impossible...

Knowing the particular nature of this forum, some people will possibly try to debate some of these issues.

Videos of talks about this subject (very interesting indeed) - http://www.911busters.com/
DISCLAIMER - I'm not interested in conspiracy theories for their own sake, I'm just another guy after the truth...

It's not impossible to make cell phone calls from altitude, it's just not recommended. The official reason is that a single phone can tie up many relay towers at once as many more are in range than are on the ground. Also there are some concerns that a cell phone signal may interfere with cockpit instrumentation. I don't know if they have ever seen this happen but I have seen home computer monitor get fritzy when cell phones ring and many hospitals ban their use for the same reason.

I heard that's only possible below 10,000 feet.

We currently have a fourteen-page thread going on this topic, so why don't you take your points over there instead of dragging this discussion off on a tangent? (By the way, if you read far enough into that other thread I think you will find that all the points you raised here have already been brought up.)
