Default IDW's Latest Attack on The BABB

After being soundly defeated in the USA Moon Shot in Twenty Years ? Only took eight in the sixties thread, Interdimensional warrior has now attacked Phil and the entire BABB in his new thread: NASA LIAR PHIL PLAITS "BAD ASTRONOMY" MAGGOTS INVADE GLP.

He obviously craves attention. If he wants it from me he can come here and have it on my terms. But "lying BABB maggots" seems to be all he's got, and I've had my fill of that.

I'm staying out of that thread; it's impossible to debate IDW unless you want to do nothing but exchange insults. I'm happy to see no one has come to his defense yet.

That's okay; he comes to his own defense.

I found it funny to go back through that 100+ page thread after the user IDs were added. As we all suspected at the time, IDW was repeatedly posing as his own rooting section. Heck, he was even laughing at his own jokes. How pathetic.

No one has come to his defense yet, and he hasn't posted anymore.

Maybe it's beginning to dawn on him that he's alone? It must be a really bad feeling when you can't even get other GLP'ers to agree with you.

It looks like someone else restarted an old thread about the American Flag on Lunar Surface.

Hey Bob B, is this your post?

Isn't the photo they're talking about AS11-40-5874? In the high res image it sure looks like the reflection of the flag in the face shield to me. What is it, if it's not that?

No, that's not my post. For one thing I always use BB, not bb.

I don't know what image they're talking about, but I agree the flag is reflected in the visor on frame AS11-40-5874.

Aww, come on, ktesibios -- it's the only thing I do well. Okay...can I be your assistant then?

I think few bands really need a Breton bombarde being played badly....

While you guys fight over the sound board, I'll do lighting. I really don't think you want me to sing!

Unless of course, the object is not to generate revenue.

Um....somebody needs to read the board TOS here. Colonial Mustang, we do try to represent the board well when we go places like GLP. Try to keep the foul language down -- I know it's hard, with the atmosphere there -- and make sure to check your facts and your spelling. No need to give them more ammunition!

I had a look at the link.

I read IDW's post where he finally gave in to demands that he show his calculations. The "calculations" he showed had as much relevance as a bus time table - and of course he had a go at people for being too stupid to understand it.

He still persisted in posting a message (the same one over and over) that said humans would die of radiation if they went to the moon. Then someone reminded IDW that he himself had said the later Apollos (14 to 17, I think) had been to the moon.

I wonder if he is actually mentally ill (as in, "I really think he might be" as opposed to "I'll use the phrase to insult him"). I have seen this sort of "reasoning" before - in someone who shortly afterwards was admitted to hospital.

I'm spending way too much time there lately. It really is a pretty cool place though. Anybody can post. You can start a thread even as an anon. It internet anarchy. What would you have to do to get banned from GLP?

At this point, nothing. The Lying BABB Maggots™ have taken it over and now control it, remember?

I think we should let Jay do the lighting. After all, he's done that for theatres. Not to mention, he could set it up to have non-parallel shadows.

Ohh, can I be in charge of the pyrotechnics?

A few pounds of black powder here, a few gas jets there.

How hard can it be?

I am content to be a backup singer, but if the songs are written for a base range singer, I might try a whack at lead vocals. If the tune is halfway up baritone to the bottom of base, I am actually pretty good.

I can play the moonshine jug! I'll even volunteer to tune it.

Now if we can just find someone to play the washboard and banjo we'd have a real nice hillbilly band.

I’ll do lead vocals, my voice is so big audiences leave to make room for it. On second thought I’ll join Bob B outside and load the bus.

I think we're getting somewhere. What about a high tech jug band crossed with a found-object jazz rock band? Be esp cool if we could make instruments from actual space hardware...
