This was posted on another forum I frequent:

<begin quote>

The rebreathing system aboard the Lunar module was capable of sustaining life for weeks if necessary. The Lunar module also flew home once with two astronauts in their underwear. The reason they left there backup space suit life support, with the man that stayed aboard the mother ship to bring home the damaged mother ship.

The two astronauts landed in Calverton NY. No reporters would come out and take the story. The government was less then open and honest about what happened. The men were flown out to a carrier and then processed they were then taken to decontamination. When the third astronaut came home he started his decontamination a week later. The reporters were all acting so surprised by the third astronaut coming in a week late. They new.

I understand that many people cannot face that the little Lunar module could fly on it's own by injecting a salt water into a laser arc, for power. It could fly in the earths atmosphere as well. It just came flying in, and landed as it always did.

The reason they had no money was that Grumman would not conform to the governments ridicules requests to stop interesting projects. Grumman also would not stop unmanned flights to the moon. He was gathering hieroglyphics with his radio controlled ship on the moon.

Other unmanned vehichles have documented the telephone poles and square structures on the moon.

Bizarre. How do you even respond to this kind of thing? The guy's quire serious, and from his posts appears to be a total crackpot on quite a number of subjects.

My only suggestion is to send the guy a... tin foil hat.

If there was ever a time when the best answer would be no answer at all, this is it. Nothing you say is likely to convince the guy he's wrong. And I can't imagine that his rantings are going to convince anyone else that he's right.

There are times when the best you can do is stand back, shake your head, and hope the guy isn't the dangerous kind of crazy.

I have to agree...the only response to this tripe is no response at all.

I'm speechless.

At least this one admits that the LM could actually fly.

"My Geraniums are bulletproof"

You could try him with that, it makes as much sense as his little diatribe. He probably needs restrictive sweaters that lace up the back instead of a tin-foil hat

I just hope for his safety that he owns rubber cutlery. Salt water into a laser arc to power the lm?? Blimey i dont think there is a response to that kind of argument.Well i dont think there is any non-surreal response anyway.

Very creative, Jim. Sick, but creative.
Obviously Martian standards of acceptable behaviour towards Smileys differ from human!

This board definitely is lagging behind in the smilies race. I want more.
