I see, I stand corrected. Its been a while since I've brushed up on Greco-Roman deities. I used to be fascinated by the old myths.

Any idea when the rest of the missions are going to be posted? I'm pretty anxious for the A7 shots of the Earthrise.

I assume you mean Apollo 8. (Apollo 7 never left Earth orbit.)

The Apollo 8 and Apollo 11 Earthrise shots are very similar in appearance. Maybe some of the other missions have similar ones as well. I have a postcard of Earthrise somebody gave me, and honestly I can't figure out which mission it's from. I haven't yet been able to match the exact photo yet. I haven't had time to go through all the A11 ones yet, but the cloud patterns don't seem right (for one thing it's not a normal photo, it's got a reflective surface, so it's hard to determine detail on it). So yeah, I'm waiting for those too.

I'm trying to remember where I got the moonrise shot for Clavius home page. I think it's from Apollo 11, but I just grabbed the one that fit my graphical needs.

Damn, they seemed to have stalled at Apollo 11. Waitasec, duh. Lunar "Surface" Journal... Bet this is as far back as they go. Maybe 10, but after this long?

Whoohoo! I finally discovered which photo my postcard is from. Sneaky ba****ds had it flipped horizontally, throwing off my recognition of the cloud patterns.

Here's my card:
http://www.occn.zaq.ne.jp/cuaea503/i...onpostcard.jpg
(remember, it's gold-leaved, so sorry for the poor scan)

And here's the Apollo 8 photo it's from:

I'm a happy camper now. I've been puzzling over this one for months.

Apollo 9 was skipped probably because that mission didn't produce any photos of the moon.

Why do some of the magazines for Apollo 9 and Apollo 12 use the same number and have letters to differentiate them?
