Default Astronaut Still Photography During Apollo
Just found this site. And what do you know, it says that the astronauts had years of training on using the cameras.

The Apollo 8 section has some minor typos/OCR errors: The film type listed as "SO-68" should read "SO-368", and the ASA of 2485 film is 6000, not 16,000.
