Well they showed a picture of 2002 NY40 on TV
it was reported to have been a "ONE" Minute
time laps photo .. such that NY 40
appeare as a long streek [/] across the
image? with several stars in the background

To me it appeard to be a Fake
as the streek was very long 2/3 of the
photo. & the stars shown did not seam
to jive with what i would expect to
appear in a "1" min time laps

8 degrees / hr = 480min / 60 min ?
8 min / min {hmm} So my ? how many stars in 10 min Astronomy Angle Mag ? 9

Another conspiracy, I'm sure.

Here is a Sky and Telescope page with some pictures that various amateurs took. The first one shows a series of 15 second exposures.

The field is a lot smaller than you think, and the stars are brighter because of longer time exposure.
