Jay Leno showed the video?
yep - he put in a NASA-ish countdown in the background too. 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... *whap*

At the risk of sounding like a knuckle-dragging throwback cheering the 'typical guy response,' way to go Buzz.

They mentioned it on a local radio talk show this morning. The host also didn't mention BS's name.

Back on the first page someone cited a Clint Eastwood quip "He needed punchin'". I think "NEEDED" is the operant word in this case. As much as quick witt and snappy words ocupy the intellectual high ground, they are no substitute for Buzz's action. ATTABOY BUZZ!

History is full of quick witt and intelligent words that did (do)not stop those that need(ed) stopping. I refer specifically to Nevel Chamberline and his "Peace in our time" speach. A wonderfully elloquint speach but what he really shoulda dun was pull out his trusty Webley and shoot old Adolph right in the lips.

There are many people, such as Bart Sibrel, who are toooooo stoooopid to be swayed by words and reason. Here and now we have much the same situation with Sadam Hussien, Ossama Benladen, et. al. ad nausium. Cock 'em n lock 'em men! Time to swap lead!

Ahhhhh! The lovely Lisa has returned!!!! It's good to see you are back! I trust you still have those beautiful eyes that can cut through steel? I look forward to your witt and wise words. RubySue is back too! I've not seen a pic of you but will assume you to be as beautiful as is possible. Now that Piper et. al. have been banned I miss your witty exchanges but hope you will bring some spice to our conversations. I'd offer a pic of me but nobody wants to see 10 lbs. of ugly in a 5 lb. bag.

This is the address for an article on Sibrel's ambush from his hometown paper. They seem to know a little about him already.

That article quotes Sibrel as saying he didn't poke Aldrin, but it also quotes Lt. Gilmond as "(Sibrel) poked Mr. Aldrin repeatedly with the Bible, telling him to repent, and pushing the Bible in his face."

Also in this CNN article, it quotes: The police spokesman added that witnesses have come forward stating that they saw Sibrel aggressively poke Aldrin with a Bible and that Sibrel had lured Aldrin to the hotel under false pretenses so that he could interview him.

We shouldn't be surprised that Sibrel lied again.

Why thank you Russ, that's very kind. I'm trying to browbeat @tomic into posting a new picture. You can see it here: http://www.seelie.net/jref/album/jpg_lisa.htm
I've spent a lot of time just lurking on the forum and not posting.
Also, I got involved in that whole ugly Planet X thing over at Paltalk. I was bounced from a pro-X room so many times I felt like I should have been wearing a rubber suit.
It's the Aldrin flap that's really gotten me back into this. How dare Sibrel stalk and harass Mr. Aldrin! Bart thinks Mr. Aldrin is a liar. So what. Since I'm on a few forums, I probably read two dozen things I think are lies before I've had breakfast.
Does this give me the right to stalk, harass, and intimidate the people I don't believe? I don't think so.
Of course, I'm not the one trying to scam people with silly videos, either.
And welcome back RubySue. Good to see you around again.

All I know is that old Buzz didn't deserve going through all this stuff. He's simply a hero to me. The devil take those crackpots!

Okay. This guy makes me ashamed to be a Nashvillian. On behalf of the city of Nashville, we'd like to disown him right now. Yeesh, what a moron.

So you're saying he's a Nashvillain rather than a Nashvillian?

A punch in the face may not have been the best response -- and note I say may not -- but Sibrel is a hulking and arguably dangerous character who has a history of stalking, harassing, and threatening astronauts.

Given the content of the CNN account, I can't see Buzz being charged. But with any luck, maybe Barty Boy will be! I hope Buzz already has his lawyers at work on an injunction to keep BS (what a coinky-dink! His intials are the same as...uh...you know...bull sh*t) from ever using the tape in any manner.

What a creep he truly must be, if he'd use a Bible as a weapon. It can't possibly mean anything to him if he'd so demean it.

I don't normally watch "Celebrity Death Match", but I would make an exception for this one.

What really insults me, and a lot of people I'm sure, is the fact that Sibrel used a Bible to poke Aldrin on the chest with. As a religious person, I found this indident disgusting. I don't want to turn this thread into a religious discussion, just to say that Sibrel's tactics were insulting.

BTW, is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that Bart Sibrel's initials are B.S?

Oh, it has already been mentioned quite a few times
But it is always again right

And did anyone recognize that "Bart Sibrel" is an anagram for "Rib Blaster"?

I think my favorite part of the video is at the end, after Buzz popped him.

BS (hehe) tries to follow him, and his camera crew stays where they where, it seems like they are thinking, "What the hell is this guy doing?" and he keep trying to get them to go with him across the street.

Too bad they didn't abandon him.

I would suggest that BS check for LCC (licensed concealed carry) permits before his next "ambush". Then again, maybe not.

Suppose Buzz decided to play along with BS (I know, am not saying he should have, or has to) What would old BS have done then?

More than likely, just said he was lying to protect himself or some crap like that I assume.

Anyways, almost off-topic, check this out:
http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/space/0...oon/index.html

They think that J002E3 might be the third stage of a Saturn V from the Apollo days. (Apollo 12 they think).

What would be the HB's take on that?

Jay Leno played the video AGAIN last night. He added his own sound effects this time to coincide with the punch ... everyone in the audience cheered. I don't think there's a jury anywhere that would convict ol' Buzz ... except maybe in HB-land

Hmmmmm........I hope this ballot wasn't designed in Florida.....

Current results are about 490 people saying the moon landing were real, out of 580 votes. 25 were not sure.
