We're still arranging details but it seems National Public Radio will devote one hour to this issue, 11 AM EST on Wednesday, with me and Phil, and call-ins.

Jim - What's the name of the show - the only version of NPR I get runs classical music at 11:00AM est.

Guess I'll have to read about it here and wait for the transcript.

Well, that answers my question on whether the interview is live or not.

They didn't tell me you'd be on too, Jim! That's cool. This should be fun then. Now I get my chance to skewer Sibrel, the chance I didn't have last Friday...

I'll be attending a professional conference, and I'll miss it. Except I might be able to arrange a webcast. Luckily NPR is good about providing tapes and transcripts.

NPR also puts all its shows on streaming-audio and replay for anytime re-listening.

Swell, National People's Radio. They'll probably berate you for the dirty imperialists beating the rodina to the moon.

Anyway, have fun. A whole hour! You should be able to rip Sibrel et.al. into tiny pieces.

What is the website of NPR, and do they stream the audio live?

As I stated on another tread... friday's interview was way, way, way too short. Am really looking forward to the NPR interview.

Any idea on how long it takes them to get the programs into the archive? I did a quick look around the NPR site (Thanks Zathras) but could not find any thing.

The archived audio stream is probably the only way I'm going to hear the program. Too bad its not live.

You're welcome!

NPR archives many of its shows overnight. Therefore, you might be able to hear it Thursday.

(Yes I am an NPR junkie--I think that This American Life is the best show on either radio or TV.)

pass it on...

Oberg and Plait to Discuss 'Moon Hoax Culture' on NPR on Nov 20

Jim Oberg (ex-NASA moon-hoax-rebuttal-book contractor, http://www.jamesoberg.com) and Phil Plait (badastronomy.com) will be on National Public Radio's talk show, 'The Connection', with host Dick Gordon, on Wednesday, Nov 20, from 11 to 12 EST. Call-ins are welcome at 800-423-8255 to discuss why some people believe that the Apollo lunar program was a fake and moon-walking astronauts are only a myth. The program is live in about 80 cities and can be heard via streaming-audio, and later from the NPR audio archives.

Ooops, I missed the "host". I'm not a native speaker of English... BTW, what's the opposite of "native speaker"?

I'll definately have to listen and possibly call in. I think a few good heat transfer questions could do him in.

Eastern Standard Time is GMT-5 hours, so 11:00am EST should be 4:00 pm in the UK right? Well, check local listings

It should be available from http://www.npr.org (there's a link to "NPR Program Stream" on the left side of the page)
