" We live in a society where there is no law in making money in the promulgation of ignorance or, in some cases, stupidity,'' Hanks said ..."

the question is :

does LHEUREUX really believe in his book ?
ie. he wrote it to share his belief, or just for money ??

Sometimes I do wonder about whether or not Sibrel is sincere or just an evil defrauding scum.

Phil Plait, a Sonoma State University astronomer who picks apart the moon hoaxers' claims on his ``Bad Astronomy'' Web site, agrees that NASA should have followed through with the book but understands why it didn't.

``It became, as things like this do, a media circus. And by circus, I mean more like carnival,'' Plait says, toot-toot-tootling like a calliope. He warns, ``There's a lot of antiscientific thinking and if this stuff is allowed to continue, it's going to spell doom for our country.''

This morning, 23 December, New Zealand newspaper "The Dominion Post" devoted more than one-third of a page to this article. Half of it was taken up by AS11-40-5903, and it was good to see an anti-hoax article given such prominence.

The article is also on CNN's website.

http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/space/1....ap/index.html

It has a related links box that has both Badastronomy and Clavius.

I looked all over the web for a sound file of what I meant, and I can't find one. Oh well.

I have had 11,000 hits to my Fox Apollo page today so far (noon Pacific time), which is roughly half the total hits I get to the whole site in one day. The whole site has had over 50,000. Wow.

Is the tune the traditional circus theme?
