Yes, Ramona always brightened Art's shows when called upon and had a great radio presence---a sad loss.

That's sad to hear, I heard they were a great couple (like two fruits in a basket).

Art was a real family man, and I am sure this is very hard on him. Best wishes Art.

Errm, why should we give condolences to a lady who married a man who deceived millions with his woowoo ramblings?

I'm not trying to sound rude, I'm just wondering.

Condolences are given to the grieving family, rather than to the dead, who have left their troubles behind. It is customary and civil to express sympathy on this kind of a loss even to ones enemies as it acknowledges the common humanity that bonds us together. This is true even if the sympathy is only modestly felt. R.I.P Ms Bell

Art Bell hosts a radio show. The area of interest is generally conspiracies. It is entertainment on the radio. In that it is akin to professional wrestling. Art didn't deceive anyone who was not already wanting such deception. ANyone who believes in black helicopters didn't get that from ARt. At worst, Bell makes them feel comfortable in their delusions. The poor man's wife dies and you want to kick the corpse?

Note: one day Jerry Springer will suffer a loss. I will feel sorry for him too.

yeah, maho, i think you need to reevaluate where the woowoo ramblings came from, and your opinion... certainly art bell is not a woowoo.

apparently his wife was only 47 and the two had been together day and night for 15 years, never apart. sad indeed. he's crushed, from what i understand.

I do rather question the use of the smiley in the thread's title, as it seems to imply that the OP found the idea funny, which I doubt was his intent.

Anyways, I am sorry for Art, he may mislead thousands, but in death all things are equal, so my condolences go out to him.

I think they we lose something if we revel in the misfortunes of those that oppose us. Like with the passing of Bill Kaysing, we need to stand back from our debates and join with Art in his loss as people united by our common humanity.

Though I have only rarely listened to C2C via the net, my deepest sympathies go to Art and his family.

Default Smiley on OP

It was not intentional, I did not select one originally that I recall....But I may have done it out of habit...I did not intend to put one up...

Almost always enjoyed the show when Art was in charge 24/7. Many a late night service call when my friend would talk to me while I drove. I didn't agree with the year 2000 garbage. I don't agree with the 'Global Superstorm' But then being involved with computers and having known about the year 2000 forever, it wasn't much of a surprise for me. Even less when nothing happened. And it bothered my Bosses that I challeneged their ethics on getting on the "Lets sell to the schmucks' Bandwagon.
As far as that superstorm? Well, every generation has thier way of handling the way things are. Some blame nature out of control, others an imaginary superbeing, just the way things are.

Art however had a way of just sitting there and talking to you and making you feel at home, where-ever, who-ever you were. Even JC. Romona was a big part of that in his attitude. I'm grieve that shes left the life of my friend. They were inseperable.

Much love to you Art, wherever you are.

No worries. I didn't even notice it until GDwarf pointed it out.

It was stated last night on C2C that Art would be hosting Sunday's program. Noory only said that it was something Bell wanted to do and that he would be on the air. That's incredible that he would return to the airwaves so soon after his loss. My heart really goes out to him.

Sometimes getting back to work is the best thing to do after a terrible loss. I too send my condolences.

My condolences certainly go to Art and he and his wife's families. And, certainly meaning no disrespect, perhaps Art could contact one of the myriad C2C guests that claim to be able to communicate with the dead. Then he could let his listeners know first-hand whether or not they are successful,

Appreciate the heads-up and will be tuning in. Have pretty much stopped listening since Art left (except for the BA's rare appearances!).

I hope none of the woo woo's call and make trouble for Art....Fundamentalists and anti-smoking monomaniacs in particular.....I hope that Art can continue to bring us the best of the nut fringe, it is a very good exercise to listen and pick apart these theories.....I do not hold him responsible in any sense for what he does, as it is rather innocuous....

Great show! Art spoke of Ramona and their lives together the first hour, and had the most erudite Michio Kaku on for the remainder. Best of all was his announcement that, in the interest of keeping busy, he'll be doing Saturdays and Sundays live now.
