Default Shuttle delayed return due to UFO

Ha, ha...the nuts are going to snip this story in some future "nasa's hiding something" documentary. Upon closer inspection, it appeared they might have blown the toilet tanks before re-entry and what we are seeing is probably a frozen turd.

In the video, the guy calling Nasa has to tell them he's not joking first, lol. That's the line the woowoo's will snip...

Might be, there's been at least one mission that had a waste line stopped up due to something sticking and freezing.

So are the UFO's holding the shuttle hostage??
Will the space shuttle ever be allowed to come back to Earth??
And what will the UFO's think of the Space Station??

Is this finally the end for all of us???

I don't know whats weirder. That GLP had twelve pages of babble on the subject in the space of only a few hours or that Toseek actually monitors that zoo.

Some of the more *ahem* colourful (note the correct, Canadian spelling) posters that drop by here are invited to leave this board and head over to that one, where the rules are a bit...laxer than here...(laxer...laxative..coincidence?)

From the sounds of things, it was likely going to be delayed by weather anyway.

because is losing pieces, pieces that even nasa doesnt have a clue of what they are.

It is very unlikely it was part of the shuttle itself, and how exactly are they supposed to identify a dark spot that is on a TV monitor? Magic? Remote Viewing?

First, nobody knows if the object was a piece of the Orbiter. Second, how exactly are you supposed to tell from a brief glimpse of an object as it dwindles in the distance? Third, do you have any idea of what is involved in getting a manned spacecraft into orbit, or in determining whether it is safe to land? If not, how exactly are you competent to judge "mediocrity"? Was there a point to your comment, or are you simply feeling superior today?

Jesuscrist, is this serious?

If you have any doubts about nasa mediocrity, here, let me show you the word mediocrity really loud, in its purest form, courtesy of the NASA's chief HIMSELF:

http://www.spacedaily.com/news/shuttle-05zzzzr.html
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science...nterview_x.htm

The space shuttle and International Space Station — nearly the whole of the U.S. manned space program for the past three decades — were mistakes, NASA chief Michael Griffin said Tuesday.

Sorry for my english.

If you have any doubts about nasa mediocrity, here, let me show you the word mediocrity really loud, in its purest form, courtesy of the NASA's chief HIMSELF:

So with hindsight they made a mistake, are you perfect? Can you predict everything that your choices 30 years ago would have today? Could have you done a better job? It's easy to cast insults 30 years after the fact, not so easy predicting the future. Yes, in hindsight, the Shuttle was compromised by a lot of factors, but it was a good vision, it just wasn't going to go anywhere. Nixon liked it though and killed Apollo. Had they expanded from Apollo we'd have been on Mars over a decade ago, probably have a full time present there with people trather then robots, but that wasn't the direction Congress took. Don't be so fast to blame NASA either. They do what they can with the tools they were given. They got given shoody tools that were only any good for NEO and haven't lived up to their original billing. Easy to look back and see that, not so easy to do in 1970. However having said that there is no reason to believe that the object fell off the shuttle. NASA is still jumpy after Columbia and so is willing to take greater precautions to make sure everything is okay if if the odds of it not are 0.001%. They just won't take any risks right now, and fair enough. It's not like the crew or ship are in any danger by delaying them, so why not do it and be safe and 100% sure it's fine?
