I've always wanted to start a "save the Jackalopes" campaign. I've already convinced my 13yo brother that destruction of habitat and overhunting have put them on the endangered species list.
My favorite existing one is http://www.dhmo.org . Other than that I've always wanted to make a crop circle (in a fallow field of course. No desire to damage some innocent farmer's crops.)

Quote:
Its easy enough to do. I've often held that a lot of nature documentaries are filmed with a slant similar to Triumph Of The Will. I remember a David Suzuki film about "sacred nature" and he did the usual consumer=evil bit--and what do you know--he stops by a jewel-sellers shop. We've all seen this before, people. In many documentaries, all human endeavor is reduced to two images of a mine and a dump. If all I did was shoot a hair-lipped two-spot horny toad eating and defecating and reduce its life in such a way--it would be called bad filmaking. |

I once had a picture of an activist standing outside McD's with the usual "Meat is Murder" sort of sign. He was wearing a leather jacket and belt. ![]()

How's this for a conspiracy:
It's not a world wide involved one, but rather one that involves a single person; Jay Windley. He has been absent from BAUT for months. Now, it so happens before he "vanished", he was involved in a discussion on the moon hoax thread on "Loose Change". The conspiracy, then, is that because he was a potential threat to the "truth movement", he was silenced! It's easy to arrange something like that.

Has it been debunked? Don't think mine has.
