Default Pravda reports a big comet?

I've tried looking up this guy, and I cannot find him apart from one woo-woo site. (Strangely, he seems to have been mentioned in relationship to Jonestown). So I'm begining to think he's a made up entity.

http://english.pravda.ru/science/ear.../84913-comet-0

And where does he come off saying it's "flying towards us at top speed"

I've alread pointed out that millions of amateur astronomers are either part of the cover-up, or have completely missed this one.

Anyone have more?

Hmm, it size is given as "giant", it velocity as "top speed" and it is supposedly "flying".

Such specificity from an astronomer is astounding. If his calculations as to its collision trajectory with Earth are just as precise I predict we have nothing to worry about.

Now, would not such a large comet being close enough to hit us in less than 3 weeks be visible to a great many people by now? How large a tail would be expected at this time?

If it should be visible easily to amateur astronomers or even to the naked eye by now then it is strange that there is no other reporting being done on this story. That should set off BS alarms.

If it's flying towards us at top speed, then it's doing about 300,000 km/second. Anything faster and Officer Albert will pull it over and give it a ticket.

Right. If you see a plaid comet coming your way, it is definitely time to panic.

I wonder what (or rather who) one would find if one removed that dark helmet during such an event.

I stumbled on this the other day, and found the same thing (only refs back to this guy are either 1) about this topic, 2) wacky sites, and 3) Jonestown, which is really odd ). I have a note to write up a page about it sometime, since you just know Yahoo News will report it straight.

May I use that as my sig? I mean, as soon as I'm finished cleaning Dr. Pepper off of my LCD monitor?

From the Pravda article...

Quote:
He saw the killer comet in a telescope two weeks ago. He managed to calculate the comet's trajectory.
He calculated the comet's orbit after sighting it once?

That's amazing....and impossible.

Heh. Why let a little thing like reality get in the way of the end of the world?
