True, I can't explain in precise terms why the figures for the collapse of the WTC are correct, but I can get into the politics and psychology. I can discuss quite a lot about JFK. It's easier. It's a field--history--in which I have basic interest, and physics really isn't. If the hypothesis is correctly presented, with math and all, I can't understand it. Whereas CTs don't take that level of knowledge.

Why not hang out in the ATM section then?
I do, but it's not as much fun for me. I have to agree, and that's one reason I'm worried that this section will die and be merged with ATM. Most of the threads in the ATM are high level cosmology or physics and I'm a chemist with only a small amount of physics. Sure if someone starts saying that Newton got it all totally wrong, I could kick their butt from here to next year, but my Relativity is scratchy and if they start claiming that the Higgs-Boson is really a heavy left quark my eyes glaze and I quickly go find a thread I'm likely to understand (probably a little like physicists do when us chemists start talking chirality.) Conspiracies tend to be able to be knocked down without having to have an intimate knowledge of Quantum Mechanics.

So you have evidence that 9/11 actually happened? What will the CT crowd think of next? Something related to space or astronomy? __________________________ Pat Paulsen for President 2008

I guess since there is spectrographic evidence for 911 it doesnt count as a conspiracy anymore....
If you wish to discuss 9/11 conspiracy theories, the JREF forum would be the place to go.

And this is at least the third time upriver has tried to flout the current CT rules.

Only to you
Please restrict your CT theory to it's thread, B-EZ.

great decision guys. As an avid lurker and reader - it is good to see the focus regained.

B-EZ, it's essential not only to look at the whole, but to carefully examine the parts. Details matter. It's easy to spin clever, glossy stories that have the flimsiest of underpinnings.
