Heck, I can think of a few people I would nominate to mod CT, if that were an option. I do agree that Phil and Fraser are in charge, and that it's their decision. I'll still be here regardless, but it has gotten awful quiet around here.

Why not hang out in the ATM section then?

No wait, you already do!

I do, but it's not as much fun for me. For starters, I don't know much math or physics. A lot of the discussion goes way over my head.

True, I can't explain in precise terms why the figures for the collapse of the WTC are correct, but I can get into the politics and psychology. I can discuss quite a lot about JFK. It's easier. It's a field--history--in which I have basic interest, and physics really isn't. If the hypothesis is correctly presented, with math and all, I can't understand it. Whereas CTs don't take that level of knowledge.

I do, but it's not as much fun for me.

I have to agree, and that's one reason I'm worried that this section will die and be merged with ATM. Most of the threads in the ATM are high level cosmology or physics and I'm a chemist with only a small amount of physics. Sure if someone starts saying that Newton got it all totally wrong, I could kick their butt from here to next year, but my Relativity is scratchy and if they start claiming that the Higgs-Boson is really a heavy left quark my eyes glaze and I quickly go find a thread I'm likely to understand (probably a little like physicists do when us chemists start talking chirality.) Conspiracies tend to be able to be knocked down without having to have an intimate knowledge of Quantum Mechanics.

I guess since there is spectrographic evidence for 911 it doesnt count as a conspiracy anymore....

It never counted as a space or astronomy related conspiracy theory.

Ron Paul for President in 2008.
Wow!

So you have evidence that 9/11 actually happened? What will the CT crowd think of next?

Something related to space or astronomy?

If you wish to discuss 9/11 conspiracy theories, the JREF forum would be the place to go.

The root of the word "Diabolical" is "Devil" which means in latin "to divide."

It's impossible to see the whole conspiracy if it's divided into little parts.

Only to you Please restrict your CT theory to it's thread, B-EZ.

B-EZ, it's essential not only to look at the whole, but to carefully examine the parts. Details matter. It's easy to spin clever, glossy stories that have the flimsiest of underpinnings.

Hi everyone
I have a first question to the forum. This Is just another question about waving flags... But this one I found quite interesting. In the video “Apollo 15 waving flag” located in the youtube. At 2:37, the flags was still for a long time and suddenly moves when the astronauts walks near it, but he clearly didn’t touch it. What do you think is the explanation here? Electrostatic?

I'd suggest starting a new thread for your question. This thread is for discussion of the CT section rules change.

Hoaxie, please read (at least) the title of this thread. This forum is for the discussion of space-related conspiracy theories only. 9/11 is not an acceptable topic.

I'm angry at myself for not beening a regular in this forum before, I would have enjoyed reading the discussions about CT and how they debunk them. Can anyone recommend a good board where they analyse and debunk CT such as the ones for 9/11?

The JREF Forum does a lot of debunking of 9/11 stuff and other CTs that aren't appropriate for here.

I was about to say JREF when I got the email notification.

Also Educational Forum. Also Unexplained Mysteries. For the absolute dregs of this sort of thing, try "talking" in the comments sections of YouTube.

I've been hanging out way too much at Godlike Productions, myself. It's a fun place to see all the varieties of saucer nuts -- some very elaborate delusions there, quite entertaining. Also multi-phobic and multi-ist, and some very, very disturbed people are posting there. I mostly came there for the Moon Hoax but haven't been able to resist a few 9-11 threads here and there.

Apollo Hoax has been pretty quiet lately and could stand some fresh participants.

Is it me, or are CT forums always really strict? Don't get me wrong, rules are fine and if I had tons of people on my site I'd have a bunch of rules too, but it seems standard that CT forums crack down pretty tough. Any idea why?
