I still forgot to appologize for the harm done to English orthographics ("stupid" is correctly written with a "d" at the end and not with the German "t" as in "stupit")

That's all right, satori. There are quite a few Americans who pronounce it "stupit". Though these days, most of those are comedians or actors trying to fake a regional accent.

I just came across this sort of woo at another forum, and thought I'd post to this thread rather than begin a new one.

I'd like to know the exact date, or the approximate one, if that's possible. This horizon project stuff sounds like the usual new-age-sky-is-falling crap, but Wikipedia has this to say, Quote:

Tuesday, the 18th March 4893. About tea time. Maybe a smidgen later.
The error bars on that estimate are roughly 50Myr though... Quote:

Oh dear.
For some reason I had in mind the Pluto probe New Horizons when I read the title of the thread. I thought:[quote]That IS a good question. I haven't heard much about "New Horizons" being part of a CT related to studying Niburu/Planet X, although I'm sure it's out there...[/i] Google sent me here though, as well as the Horizon Project homepage, complete with Live Support! There were a bunch of other "Horizon Projects", but this seemed like the most likely candidate. How close am I?

That hole they're looking for near the North Pole - I hope they have a good supply of aqualungs for the intrepid explorers - Google earth shows that location as being quite clearly mid ocean.

This is bogus too, they said the same thing when all the planets were aligning in a straight line, nothing happened except i took some awesome photo's of the planet grouping through my 4 inch vixen refractor.
Then you have that "Planet X" ooooooo, sorry the brown dwarf IE planet X already passed us by, missed the earth by a little over 8 light years (one light year in the simple mans view is three orbits around the sun on pluto, or roughly 263 earth years for one orbit) secondly, brown dwarfs dont move through the galaxy like comets, if there was a brown dwarf in our solar system say approaching pluto, we'd be dead all ready! 2012 prediction is bogus, the asteroid strike 2014 and 2036 are BS. that strange metallic object in greenland is science fiction, doesnt exsist, go check out www.spaceflight.nasa.gov and see if they have any of those pictures of greenland on their satelite imagery, you wont find any, also go check www.intellicast.com, this is a commerical weather station that also gives pilots conditions and minuite by minuite updates on ice, wid direction, windshear. and magnetic storm info services. you wont find the mysterious object in greenland there either. POLE SHIFT i read that a pole shift is happening now and by 2012 america will be where new zealand is now. well it would tale more than an impact of an asteroid the gravitational pulls of planet X and an astronomical event of a universal galactial alignment to cause a poleshift on this planet, and believe me if a poleshift occurs it wont be in a matter of years or months, it will take 8 minuites. i'd be more affraid of that collider in europe than an asteroid hit or nuclear strike. its all a bunch of <inappropriate language removed>! astroman1 Last edited by Tinaa; 03-January-2009 at 02:43 PM.. Quote from the "North Pole Inner Earth Expedition" web-site on their scientific objectives:
It is strongly believed that the scientific data collected on this Expedition will be invaluable to understanding the true structure of the Earth. If the oceanic depression can be located and measured, the geological team may qualify for the Nobel Prize in Geology. If the Aurora Borealis can be affirmed to originate from the inner Earth, the entire field of planetary physics may be rewritten. If the Earth can be proven to be hollow, the Expedition may be the most profound discovery since the Earth was discovered to revolve around the sun... End Quote there are so many faults already in the very first paragraph !!!! I gave up after half a page. What a Crock! So here are my two cents for what this Dr. Angnew Brooks stands for. #1 there is no Nobel Prize for Geology! But let him try and apply - good riddance. #2 Having an Aurora Borealis coming from a hole at the north pole doesn't explain why there is some at the south pole as well. Of course, any hole in the ground would have been spotted long since and that would spoil the fun of an expedition. #3 where does all the water go if there is a hole in the shell of our hollow planet? How do we replenish? Or is this the way doom lies? Not a gravitational perturbance will wreck havoc onto our unfortunate planet but it will be later found (i.e. by Nibiru's denizens) to have drained all its waters through a hole the hapless inhabitants of the third rock from the sun discovered to late. They got it all wrong as usual, the key to the hollow earth lies in this note:

Last night I was watching TV and Dr. Kaku (I think that is his name) refreshed my memory by stating that the solar system passes through the galactic plane every 26 million years. That, supposedly disturbs the comets in the Oort Cloud and sends some hurtling inward, towards the sun. Right now we are right in the middle of the cycle, so look out, we will pass through the plane again in 13 million years!! Add 2 cycles plus 13 mil. years, (26 mil. plus 26 mil. plus 13 mil. equals ?? mil!!) Hmmm.
A poster said that a meteor strike in 2036 is BS, we hope so. Kaku also talked about this. He said there is an asteroid that will probably pass below the geosynchronous orbit satellites in 2028, if it passes through a place in space (near Earth) called the keyhole, it will make 3 revs. then give us a kiss in 2036!! Odds say it will miss the keyhole. Last edited by ulgah; 09-January-2009 at 06:57 PM.. Reason: Better wording, changed meteor to asteroid. Added last sentence. |
