Default Summing up HBs in one line

"A very small tail trying to wag a very large dog."

That was my feeling when I was reading some of the comments quoted on various threads, notably one that said the Apollo landings were untrue "on every level" - whatever that means!

Anyone got any better one-liners?

"The willfully blind leading the woefully dumb."

Maybe not better, but it encapsulates my feelings pretty well.

"Everything I need to know, I learned from google.com"

Also not better, but a fine replacement to the old "everything I need to know I learned in kindergarten". :-P

[edit: I don't know HOW I didn't think of this sooner, but google.com can be replaced with wikipedia.com and it's even better]

"is not"

You can keep finding ways of how this is applicable to HB's.

LoL, he must walk that dangerous line with a great deal of caution. I guess the difference is Tooseek is obviously wise enough to know the phrase "If it's on googlepedia (I merged the two sites) it must be true!" is, well, untrue.

I could sum them up in one word, but this is a family board.

I am surprised that nobody mentioned "I want to believe!".

I have an excellent example of an HBs bigotery and persistence. It's kind of lengthy, so I'll post a short summary and his very quote.

Discussing the weight of a hammer, for the Galileo experiment. The HB in case was talking about 500kg hammers (well, not directly 500kg hammers, but that's what it boiled down to). I pointed out to him that that would be near-impossible as that was ten times the weight of myself. After (that's right people, after) I pointed that out, he posted this.

"GO TO A HARDWARE STORE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF.
I WENT TO ONE YESTERDAY AND THAT'S WHAT IT SAID ON THE STICKER
500 kilo (20 ounces)"

Observation: Bigoted and close-minded.

Well, at least you were lucky enough to have him prove himself wrong in his own sentance. Just tell him to head to head to google and type in "20 ounces to kilograms" in the search box. It'll convert it for him. 0.566~ is a little different than 500. *shrugs*

This one covers all CT's, not just HB's....
