The best one I saw -- I think it was a Percy video -- was when he "demonstrated" the geometry of a shadow falling on the ground....by casting his shadow on a wall.

He was claiming a change in shadow length of an astronaut (caused by ground slope, of course) was due to being closer to an artificial light. Implying of course the scene was filmed indoors, using studio lighting. The shorter shadow would of course be further from the light....what? No, really! Which he proves by showing how when he moves towards a light, his shadow on the wall gets taller.

Geometry fail.

Oh yes, that was Percy's What Happened on the Moon?, and much of Percy's photographic "analysis" there and elsewhere is rife with geometry-fail. The photogrammetric type of analysis that Percy purports to do is ruthlessly governed by the laws of optics and the laws of affine geometry, and Percy demonstrates knowing absolutely none of it. He makes up "rules" that he says true photographs must follow -- rules that are nothing but his oversimplified suppositions. The day he withdrew from the public defense of his works was the day that I and others pointed out that his own sample photos in his books and video contradict his own photo "rules" for true photos!
